Ceramic basins
All Seima ceramic basins are made of vitreous china and are manufactured to meet the highest quality standards.
Selected white basins have a nanoglaze surface.
Nanoglaze
The nanoglaze coating is six times smoother than ordinary glaze, and baked into the ceramic surface.
The ultra-smooth surface resists grime and bacteria, keeping the ceramic surface cleaner and making it easier to clean.
It contains a silver/zinc compound that actively reduces harmful bacteria such as Staphylococcus Aureus and Escherichia Coli (E Coli) by more than 95 per cent.
Superclay ceramic – exceptionally durable
The superfine rim and slender, precise lines of the Slimline Series of basins are made possible through the superior properties of Superclay, an exceptionally durable ceramic that has a 20 per cent higher tensile strength than normal ceramic.
Sinks
While undermount sinks are the first choice for many people, top-mounted sinks are becoming increasingly popular thanks to their practical simplicity and raw aesthetic.
Undermount
Undermount sinks require a solid surface benchtop like stone.
The sink rim is mounted below the benchtop, so the sink effectively ‘hangs’ underneath the counter top, with the polished edges of the cutout on show. This style gives an uninterrupted flow from the benchtop into the sink.
Abovemount
One advantage of an abovemount sink is that the edges of the benchtop cutout are protected by the sink.
The abovemount style has an appeal of its own and allows flexibility in the choice of benchtop material. The sink simply drops into a benchtop cutout and the rim of the sink sits on the benchtop.
Sinks in Seima’s Tetra and Kubic ranges have superior rim finish and a low edge profile, making them ideal for either mounting style.
