It’s a touch of the Hampton’s nestled within Melbourne’s growing south-east.
The Tathra display home, designed and built by Fairhaven Homes at Minta Estate on the state’s east coast, offers numerous head-turning features; but it’s the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry that really draw the attention of prospective home builders.
Designers of the versatile five-bedroom display home, situated in the outer Melbourne suburb of Berwick, have used several Seima products to fit out the wet areas.
The Kubic range of stainless steel sinks has been used throughout the laundry and kitchen in the home, providing a minimalist yet modern touch.
Across the bathrooms, the designers have chosen the Arko range of basins, toilets and tubs. The confident roundness and slim lines of the products give the bathrooms a refined, contemporary feel.
Fairhaven Homes Display Home Interior Designer Gemma Bishop said the products give the rooms a stylish, yet classic, feel.
“The white ceramic range is timeless in itself,” Gemma says.
“The basins, especially the above counter ones, don’t have those big, chunky edges — they have a slimmer profile instead.”
“They’re a great size as well.”
Gemma says the products complement the Hamptons style of the home, a trend that is only going to become more popular with buyers in years to come.
“The prediction is that the Hampton’s trend will become more masculine.
“But within the Hampton’s design itself, there’s probably four or five different types of Hampton styles which make them quite timeless.”
For Gemma, it was important that the laundry and bathroom was designed around its intended user: the homeowner.
“Everyone needs bench space, everyone needs a good-sized bowl, or trough, and in the Tathra Display Home, it’s quite lengthy,” she says.
“There’s plenty of linen space, and we have a nice-sized bowl in the laundry for the home, which is appropriate.
“Being able to put it with stone and making it above-mount just gives it that luxurious, seamless finish too.”
Gemma says that the above counter basins, which sit flush against the bench top in the bathroom, are also easy to clean, and maximise bench space.
“The way the water hits the bowl, it doesn’t just completely splash back at you, and they give you ample bench space too.”
To help bring the designers at Fairhaven Homes’ vision to life, choosing reliable and fast local suppliers, like Seima, is a great benefit, Gemma says.
“Having local suppliers is definitely a benefit, especially over these past few years.
“From a display perspective, we have quick timelines and tight deadlines, so having someone like Seima is always a benefit.”
